Changing the metaphor

I got this post which is credited to Spiritual Ecology:

If you want to change the world, you have to change the metaphor (Joseph Campbell)

metaphor

Ego:  Dominion over.

Nature: Each among.

Ego:  I can do as I wish.

Nature:  How can I harm another?

Ego:  Men must be big, tough, domineering, etc. to keep women subordinate to them.

Nature:  Help meet, mate, companion and helper, partner.  Equals, not subordinate.

Ego:  Mine, manufacture and discard.

Nature:  a circular economy, where resources are reused, and ultimately, matter and energy are conserved.

More thoughts anyone?
